A New Chapter

Clearing the Path to Focus on My Passion

This week marks a major turning point for Streamline Woodshop, one that’s been a long time coming. After selling my shop van and paying off all the lingering debt from my closed construction business, Streamline Craftsman, I can finally breathe and fully focus on building Streamline Woodshop as a standalone venture.

What started as a side hustle to complement the construction business has now become my primary passion project. It’s a challenging road—there’s not a ton of money in furniture making—but it’s a craft that feeds my soul, and I owe it to myself to make it work.

Goodbye Shop Van, Hello Fresh Start
Selling my shop van wasn’t just a financial decision; it was a symbolic one. That van carried countless materials and finished projects for Streamline Craftsman, but with the construction side of the business closed, it had become a reminder of a chapter I needed to move on from. The sale gave me the funds to pay off my debts, and now I can approach Streamline Woodshop with a clean slate.

Turning a Passion into a Sustainable Business
When I started Streamline Woodshop, it was never meant to be my sole source of income—it was meant to complement the construction side of things. But life has a way of shifting priorities, and here I am, diving headfirst into the unpredictable world of custom furniture making.

There’s no denying that this industry has its challenges. Furniture making may not bring in buckets of cash, but it brings something more valuable: purpose. Each piece I create tells a story, and the process is as rewarding as the final product.

What’s Next for Streamline Woodshop?
With the financial weight of debt lifted, I can now focus on what truly matters: growing Streamline Woodshop into a thriving business. My priority is to:

  • Expand My Craft: Explore new techniques and artistic styles to make each piece unique.

  • Document the Journey: Share the highs and lows of this adventure through blog posts, social media, and YouTube content.

  • Build Connections: Work with clients and brands who share a love for craftsmanship and creativity.

Why This Matters
This isn’t just about making furniture; it’s about taking control of my career and pursuing what I love. It’s a bet on myself and my ability to turn a passion into a sustainable business. It’s not going to be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.
